Out of School Hours Childcare Bucks County Council, Early Years and
Childcare Partnership, has been successful with yet another bid to the New Opportunities
Fund (NOF) Out of School Hours Childcare Programme. Notification has been received that
the application for £69,934 to create 180 childcare places throughout Bucks has been
successful. This is the sixth grant to be awarded to childcare providers in the County
bringing the total funding now available up to £597,888. Bucks County Council, as lead
organisation for consortiums of childcare providers, manages this fund and supports the
development of 1403 quality new childcare places.
These are places to be created in Buckinghamshire towns & villages, with childminders,
pre-schools, nurseries and out of school clubs to support the needs of working parents and
enhance the experiences of children aged from three to fourteen, or sixteen for children
with special needs.
The latest award includes:
Xcite, Cheddington 24 holiday club places for 4 to 14 year olds
The NOF grants provide start up costs and a contribution to the first years running cost
for new and existing childcare providers. Any parents wishing to find out more about the
